My hair is getting color resistant, what can I use to cover the grey?

Have to re-color every 3 weeks, hair wont hold the color, I am using permenent color,mahogany, just wont take! The grey shows big time, and when I do color it always a shade lighter no matter how long I leave it on, up to 45 min. HELP!

First of all...coloring every 3 weeks is WAAY unhealty for your hair. It may be too damaged now. I get some serious conditioning done first to bring the hair back to health. Then I'd see a professional colorist, the brand you're using may just be too weak.

Although it's not the answer you're going to want to hear, I'm thinking maybe it's time that you let yourself go grey. There's nothing wrong with it - in fact, I think graying hair is very classy in cases where people style and take care of their hair. Welcome those greys with open arms!

Sorry, got same prob but nothing we can do about it no matter how long we leave color on.I'll give myself few more years then thinking about have a wig or going grey!! Good luck!!
