hiya!! i work in a hair dressers an from what ur discribing it sounds like you pickd 2dark of a colour when you tryd 2go brown!! your hair was bleachd blonde and it was so light that the brown took 2a dark brown/black!!! if you have bleach'd your hair a number of times theres goinging 2be a bulid up so you might have 2 get ur hair striped (geting the colour all taken out 2ur natural hair colour!!) your can get this done in SOME hairdressers but very few onless they have a colour technician!! (likke tony an guy!!) if ur hair has not had a build up of colour try washing ur hair with head and shoulders for a few weeks and leave it in 4 an hour r 2 each time!! i hope iv help'd!!! =] xxx

If I were you, I would wait a few weeks and then get it done professionally. I think it'd be better to dye your hair at the salon so you know that you won't mess up and have to dye it AGAIN. Plus, the hair stylists will take care of your hair so it's not as damaging. Anyways, during those few weeks while I wait, I would deep condition it and take good care of the damaged hair.

PUT DOWN THE HAIR DYE... GO TO A PROFESSIONAL... You are going to keep making it worse .... and the products you can buy are inferior and contain a lot of ammonia.

I am a master educator and a hairstlist of 12 years. I specialize in color correction. I see this all the time. YOU cannot do it yourself. PLEASE I know stylist all over that are color specialist if you need a referral.

you have made the mistake of A, choosing a too-dark hair colour (when you bleach your hair you are stripping it of its natural underlying pigments and therefore it becomes porous) then you made the mistake of putting washing powder on it (this only works for people who are only colouring their hair a couple of shades darker than the colour they already had) what you need to do is to purchase a colour remover (Goldwell is the best) follow the instructions in the pack to a T, then once MOST of the colour has been removed (you should be orange at that point) you are free to put a level 6 light ASH brown on which will counteract the orange leaving you with a level 4 medium neutral brown.
