Is there a chemical free hair colourant that is suitable for covering hair that is 95% grey.?

Not that I have ever seen. To cover grey completely you need a permanent hair colour and they will all have chemicals in them.

No, there isn't. I have investigated this one myself. I'm afraid if you want to get rid of the grey/white, you have to suffer the chemicals. Nuisance, isn't it?

Light Mountain Henna claims to have a chemical free product but henna based colours can NOT be removed or lightened. Once you colour you can only go darker and I don't know how much gray they cover. The two big chemicals that everyone talks about in hair colour are peroxide and ammonia. Peroxide is in ALL non henna hair colour even products that claim not to have it, I don't know if henna colours have it. I would not worry about this one as it's what most people use to clean cuts and their houses these days, it's oten touted as a natural cleaner or "active oxygen". Ammonia smells bad but in colour it is what gives gray coverage, ammonia free colour can end up having even stronger chemicals (maybe with less smell) to do the same job, it can't be just left out of the colour.
