i have heard heredity, and i have heard lack of certain proteins. i dont know for sure, people start greying at different times. i just dyed my hair for the first time because of grey and im 21. it started at 20 and one silver strand turned into 20 and so on. im not salt and pepper yet but i think i may be before 30. i feel your pain if your hair is turning too. i honestly think stress can turn it quicker.
